1928 Medical Book, Textbook store of Materia Medica, Blumgarten 4th Edition, Nursing and Medical School Textbook

This old book is called "Textbook of Materia Medica", published in 1928. This is not a reproduction, not a reprint, and not a digital print ... this is an authentic book of the period. Written by Dr. A.S. Blumgarten, this is the 4th edition and it was published by The Macmillan Company of New York. The book seems to have been intended for nurses, to help them identify the actions, uses, and dosage of drugs. As the Preface says, "This edition is divided into 2 parts: a preliminary course in Drugs and Solutions and a standard course in Materia Medica and Therapeutics”. The hard cover book is in good condition. All 519 pages are here, the binding is secure, and there is an extensive and useful index. Still useful and readable, and quite interesting as it store reveals the state of medical and therapeutic and pharmaceutical knowledge almost 100 years ago. The book measures 8 3/4" by 6" by 1 1/8". In good condition.
