Introduced in 1989, the Canon Snappy Q was a fun Snapshot type of camera. This unique camera was a user friendly Focus Free Point and Shoot Camera. The Ergonomic design is meant to be held for vertically for portraits images! Simple to operate and fun to use, this point and shoot gets the job done with crystal clear results.

Slide the front lens cover open, and a prime 35mm 1:4.5 lens is revealed! The lens cover also doubles as a "fuzzy" filter that can imitate the effects of the popular Cokin Haze filters from the era when the switch is activated. It has a built-in flash, that pops up automatically and can be switched off by pressing it down if preferred. It also features a 10 second timer and the tripod is mounted on the side of the camera to allow for Portrait shots! Film loading advance, and rewind are automatic and are powered by 2xAA batteries (included). It produces sharp and bright images with a nice, vivid tone. Images captured look warmer, a popular look among street photographers and Lomographers.

Camera shows very little signs of cosmetic wear. The shutter fires at a single speed, light meter is accurate and deploys the flash automatically in low lighting situations. The lens and viewfinder is free from haze, fungus and dust. Film compartment has no light leaks and battery compartment is clean. 10 Second timer works. Film is still available and can be processed at your local camera shop. This Camera has been film tested (see attached pics of our adventures from May 2021).

All our cameras at Atelier include a Free roll of 35mm film and the battery... So all you have to do, is unpack the camera, load the film, and you're ready to shoot your first roll!
