An ancient Mexican culture called the Olmec. Left effigies with the tongue poking out. I used Guatemalan Jadeite to carve, just such a figure. The "Jaguar King" is wearing jaguar skin helmet. The stone carving is mounted under a native hardwood frame, made from store mountain laurel(Sophora secundiflora) wood.
