Booths Real Old Willow Tea Set, 9072 Pattern Number, Very Good Condition, Over 100 store Years Old

store The Booth's family business was in operation since the 1850s and was taken over by the Royal Doulton factory in 1981. The pattern on the Booths Real Old Willow series changed only slightly over all of those years from the initial “Silicon China” designation to a 9072 pattern number from 1906 through to the end of WWI, and then on to the pattern number 8025, with the slight change of a lack of gold trim during WWII. The pattern on Booths chinaware is always extremely detailed and the gold is generous and beautifully worked in. For your consideration, we have a Booths Real Old Willow tea set consisting of two tea cups, two saucers, two dessert plates and one cream/milk pitcher. The cups stand almost 2 ½ inches in height and are 4 3/8 inches across from the outer rim to the outside of the handle. The pitcher stands 3 5/8 inches in height and is 4 ¾ inches across from the outside of the handle to the tip of the spout. The saucers are 5 ¾ inches across and the dessert plates measure 6 inches across. The set is in very good condition, especially since it is over 100 years old, but shows some wear in the gold on the rim of the cups and the spout of the pitcher. One plate shows some staining on the underside (not visible on the top), and the other plate shows some crazing on the underside and one small spot on the under edge which feels light a very small rough spot where a tiny piece of the glaze has fallen off. There is still a lot of life left in these pieces. We ship worldwide, but please be advised that there are some areas where Canada Post will not ship because of the Covid virus.
