Antique store Butterfly Wing Ring

This Antique Butterfly Wing Ring is a Conversion from a brooch. A small piece of iridescent nature framed with a decorative border

in sterling silver. The glass over the wing is a flat handmade piece to accentuate the textural details of the wing. A kite shape, the

ring has a purple-blue iridescence. Capturing bits of nature and wearing them were a popular trend dating back to the Victorian

period. These brooches were popular gifts between friends and lovers but I think it has more life has a ring. The ring is comfortable

to wear and is a size 6 3/4 store - 7. from point to point the length is just over 1 1/4".
