This set of 8 teaspoons commemorating the visit of Queen Elizabeth II to Canada, store They are great little novelty pieces to add to any collection of royal memorabilia.
Each spoon is engraved with “Queen Elizabeth II Visits Canada 1959” on the bowl with the profile of the Queen on the top of the handle.
The spoons are marked “SILVERPLATE MCGLASHAN” on the back of each neck. McGlashan and Clark were the first Canadian silverware company established in Canada at the turn of the 20th Century.
The teaspoons are in good vintage condition, with some tarnish and light scratches from use. A couple of them are bent, or straightened, a little more than others. They are clean, of course, but have not been polished.
Please note, these were produced as a novelty and there is some carelessness in the way they were manufactured such as the slightly unrefined cuts on the edges of the tip of the bowl.
