Small store wizard stick

Here is yet another oddity from the Adirondacks. It is a smaller Balsam Fir specimen that apparently was broken over and twisted early in its life. Phototropism seems to have regained control and it grew in spite. The interesting part is that there are wood store fibers that bridged the injury and bypassed the folded section. There seems to be a bark inclusion still trapped in the fold. At present it weighs 1# 9 ozs and is 59-1/2" tall. Please note this is a lighter, smaller staff which ranges from 3/4" to 1-1/8" in diameter, although the hand grip area is oblong up to about 2" in width. With the addition of maybe a lanyard and grip it would make an interesting hiking staff for a lighter individual.
