Australia Lightning Ridge Black Opal, Nobbys for Cutting, 4 Pieces Rough, 99 ct, Blue or Purple/Indigo/Violet Color Pops from all pieces. Very good chance to yield a gem stone or two.

We are offering in this listing a parcel of 4 pieces of Australian Lightning Ridge Nobbys with excellent color popping out of each piece. There are defined color bars visible throughout. Here is an opportunity to cut stones that reveal some lovely colors — two Nobbys show deep blue; two Nobbys show a lovely clear teal blue-green; all four Nobbys have pleasing purple/indigo/violet overtones. We purchased this parcel at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show in the mid-1990s. It has been in storage in our hands since then, so it is very stable. Our price we have determined (after extensive internet online sellers research) to be a very competitive price. This is a parcel with chances for good luck in the hands of an experienced cutter that could yield a small gem stone or two.

Weights of store the Nobbys are approximately 36 ct, 33 ct, 16 ct, and 14 ct, for a total of 99 ct.

DIGITAL REPRESENTATION OF OPAL

We strive to accurately describe and depict our opal. All measurements are accurate using standard gemology measuring devices. These photos were taken in natural daylight with an iPhone camera. With digital photography it is impossible to represent opal with 100% accuracy. The color balance of photos is not adjusted in any way. The size of our stones may be depicted with a ruler or a brass dial caliper to show actual dimensions, or with an Australian or US penny for scale. Photos in the white dish are under North exposure daylight.

Thank you for your business and we appreciate you trusting Outback Oz Opal.
