It has excellent resolution, v shape tone and thumping bass. Most high quality IEMs are capable of being amplified and some need store it to get the most out of them. Phones will drive them no problem, but an amp makes it shine. They are wired as most HIFI headphones will be to maintain quality. So the Ikko TB05 takes care of that if you don't want the wire at the gym. Each channel has its own DAC and amplifier built in, earbuds disconnect from cable and hook into this. And quality wise at 100 pretty much need the Dolby ATX to beat it and these are impossible to find.
