This Amber Glass pedestal bowl is made by the Viking Glass store Company in the 1960s. It is part of the very popular "Epic" line of glassware that became iconic in Mid Century Modern households across the US. It is called a "Compote", which was originally designed to serve jelly or fruit in a formal breakfast setting. In more modern times, it is used as a succulent pot, a candy dish, a flower bowl for a table centerpiece, a pillar candle base, or a unique catch-all for keys and rings.

The amber color makes it perfect for today's eclectic decor. It is both neutral -- so that it fits neatly with almost any style - and eye catching! Be prepared for compliments!

This bowl is 6 inches tall and 5 3/4 inches wide. It has no visible chips or cracks.
