Nicely illustrated antique volume of "The Family Circle and Parlor Annual" containing 12 issues - July, 1851 to June, 1852. Published by James G. Reed in New York. The issues contain pieces of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, music, and a "Chronology" for each month (which highlights notable events by date). The volume contains numerous hand-color floral plates, and detailed full-page steel engravings and lithographs (some with decorative borders). Nicely bound in three-quarter leather with gilt lettering and accents on the covers and spine, marbled end papers, and four raised bands on the spine.

Condition:
Clean front cover and spine; there are a couple thin, white stain lines at the top half of the back cover. Bright gilt decorations on the covers and spine. Light wear to the corners. Tight binding with no loose pages. Nice interior - the pages are generally clean with an occasional stain and smudge here and there. The tissue guard over the frontispiece is present, but has torn away from the spine. Overall the volume is in Very Good condition.
