Pair of store antique Georgian brass candlesticks with circular bases / vintage set of candle holders, c.1780-1800

Pair of antique Georgian brass candlesticks with circular bases. These are a very elegant design and would be an impressive addition to a mantlepiece or table.

They likely date to 1780-1800 from the design, including the circular base tray, the simple and tapered neo-classical stem, the polished metal on the underside of the base, and the brazing lines running up two sides of the stem and sockets (most Georgian candlesticks were made in two pieces and brazed together with a softer metal). Brazing lines were phased out at a later point. Similar examples can be seen in E. Koldewij's The English Candlestick, 1425-1925, pp.193-4, where they are also dated to this period.

They are in good condition, though there are a few marks and scuffs to the metal concurrent with their long history.

*Gift wrap*

-We wrap all items in complementary brown paper and string. I can also supply a complementary gift tag (see personalisation option). I can leave this blank for you to complete, or I can write in a gift inscription. All gift tags are 5 x 10 cm / 2 x 3.94 inch kraft paper tags to match the complementary wrapping paper.

*Packing*

-All items are simply wrapped in brown paper and string (because “these are a few of my favourite things”). The items are then carefully covered with several layers of bubble wrap before being placed in lined and padded cardboard boxes.

-I try to source my packing materials as sustainably as possible. I reuse boxes, packing nuts and bubble wrap whenever I can. Any packing materials that I source outside this (such as bubble wrap or boxes) are biodegradable or recyclable.

*Postage*

-UK: Shipping is free to addresses within the UK. I use Royal Mail's ‘Second Class Signed For' service for most items sent within the UK. These should arrive in a few days but do get in touch if you would like quicker shipping. Orders too large for this will be sent by another delivery agency, such as Parcelforce 48 hour.

-EU/International: For orders outside the UK, I use Royal Mail's ‘International Tracked and Signed' which gives you peace of mind and allows you to track your item. Get in touch with me if you would like to combine postage.
