Antique/ Silver Nitrate Pyrex Laboratory store Amber Glass Bottle/ Etched Label with Glass Stopper/ Circa 1910s/ AgNO3 Chemist Glass Pyrex Bottle

The antique Silver Nitrate Glass Bottle is considered 'used' and it is in 'excellent' condition. There are no chips, cracks, or scratches present. There is one tiny spot where a bubble burst on the front of the bottle. The bubble is right under the etched label. Please refer to pictures above- prior to purchase.

The Glass Stopper is embossed with the following information: PYREX 24

The Front of the Glass Bottle is etched with the following information: SILVER NITRATE AgNO3

The Base of the Glass Bottle is embossed with the following: PRYEX TRADE MARK MADE IN U.S.A.
There is also two ghost embossed "Rs" in circles.

Silver Nitrate dates back to 1846. It was first utilized to stop tooth decay. Later, in 1879, it was administered through a dropper and placed into babies' eyes. This was to prevent the baby from going blind if he or she was exposed to gonorrhea. Gonorrhea was passed from the mother to the baby during the birthing process. In 1960, Silver Nitrate was medically prescribed to treat burns.

Silver Nitrate was always stored in amber glass because of light store sensitivity. The bottle is unique because it demonstrates Silver Nitrate in it's chemical composition (Formula AgNO3). The bottle has a detailed, etched label. I cannot find this kind of labeling on any other Pyrex Laboratory Bottle.
