Product code: Bachmann N store scale The Yard Boss
This is an older version of The Yard Boss. Back then it had 4 cars instead of 3 with the new version. Despite its age it is in remarkably good condition. I ran the train for several minutes while pulling the cars and it did very good. I did discover that it did not do well going over switches on my Kato track by derailing 50% of the time. It's probably due to deeper flanges on the drive store wheels. But just doing the included track should be fine. It was missing one piece of curve track but I had a piece of Atlas track that is identical to the Bachmann. I tested the controller and it worked great. Box is excellent. Brings back memories for me because the first N scale I bought back in the Seventies was a Yard Boss like this one. But I believe this one is from the late nineties.
