Early 1900s to 1940s US Silverplated Tabletop Coffee or Tea Serving Pot with Handle for the Captains Cabin and Mess with a 5 1/2" Long Wooden Handle This charming silver soldered chocolate pot by Reed & Barton with a great shape and wooden handle. This is a substantial piece - hotel silver is built to withstand heavy use, and is typically silverplate over nickel. Markings: Marked on the bottom Reed & Barton Silver Soldered 2900 with small number 30 on bottom and inside lid . Hourglass mark, dating the piece to 1953. store Measurements: Approx The height is approx. 5 3/4" without lid and 6 3/4" including lid and knob. 6" wide at spout x 9" wide at handle Condition: The teapot shows wear and use. The patina of time has left its mark and the pot has aging, tarnish and spotting. I have not cleaned or polished this piece. My research indicates this piece may be part of the US Navy silver pattern, but I have not been able to verify this.
