Silver 'Ulu (breadfruit) store Leaf Earrings

These earrings feature a leaf from the 'Ulu tree which is a very important native Hawaiian plant. Breadfruit has been a staple in the Hawaiian diet alongside other superfoods such as taro and coconut, while also being utilized for building materials and fabric making.

I make each piece of jewelry using traditional metalsmithing techniques such as sawing, piercing, riveting, stamping, soldering and forming. With the use of patinas I give the pieces their rustic-earthy look and weather-worn appearance.

Please note the earrings you receive are not the ones in the picture and due to the handmade nature and the use of patinas, they may look a little different.

Measurements- The leaf measures 1" wide and approx 1 3/8" tall. Total length including earwire is
2 1/8" approx.

Materials - The leaf is made from 26 gauge sterling silver and it's very light weight.
The safety ear wires are made out of harden 20 gauge sterling silver wire and prevent earrings from getting lost easily. The silver used in the making of this earrings is 100% recycled!
