We are fussy store about the rendering, art style and palette of florals on ceramics and this pair passed the test, a wild garden rendered by an experienced hand in a painterly style, the colors are a summer's wild flower garden extending all around the pitcher, the basin is a hexagon, inside a spill of the pitcher's flowers, outside alternating roses and foliage, one side of the basin has seen some hardship with chips along the rim, there are two more small chips in other spots (SEE photos for chips), we do not find them painful to look at and can turn them from view, instead we see the fresh beauty of this set. Some crazing or superficial cracks on pitcher's lower half, not structural. Wear not unexpected for age and use.
