The Golden Ladybird, Circuit Board store and Plastic Packaging Insect by Julie Alice Chappell
The Golden Ladybird, Circuit Board and Plastic Packaging Insect has been thoughtfully created from discarded and obsolete computer circuit board components. Circuit board patterns are repeated on her wings as delicate wing veins. Her wing cases have been fabricated from hand painted, plastic packaging. She has a wingspan of 7.5 cm (three inches) and comes set against a lightly textured, bright white background in a natural pale wooden style box frame which measures 19 cm (7.5 inches) squared approximately. Other frame colours are available in black, white and grey. Each one of my Computer Bugs is a one off, original artwork...there are no two alike. It is my hope that my Up cycled Insect Artworks help to store highlight the dangers of planned obsolescence and raise awareness of e-waste in the natural environment
