Glass store Mosaic Horsehair Pot

I call these my Frank Lloyd Wright inspired pots. They have a modern architectural feel. Pots are spun on the wheel then carved with long flowing lines. After the first firing from clay to ceramic, the pot is fired in a rapid process from ambient temp store to 1500 in 25 minutes. When at temperature, the pot is removed from the kiln and draped with strands of horsehair. The hair, being carbon, burns into the clay creating permanent squiggly designs. For a final touch of elegance, a band of hand-crafted glass specifically made for PotTerre is added. Elegant and maybe a touch masculine, these will add class to your home or office.
