A unique recipe for each type of porcelain was developed by the scientist Dmitry Vinogradov back in the 18th century for the Elizabethan Porcelain Manufactory (now the Imperial Porcelain Factory).
Each teapot is is painted and decorated manually, using the overglaze technique. Unusual paints are used to decorate store tableware, such as cobalt oxide (black paint that turns blue after firing in an oven at extremely high temperatures) and super-paint, which is made from liquid gold. Painting is carried out by hand using underglaze and overglaze techniques, as wells as the decal technique.
A practical gift option for a general or personal holiday.
Hand painted with 22K gold teapot was made in the Imperial Lomonosov Porcelain Factory in St. Petersburg, Russia (former Soviet Union).
