Fun piece! The poncho is practically a perfect square 40" x 40" WITHOUT the Fringe, The fringe is 10" long.
Neck opening store is 6" x 6", it does stretch a little.
When you wear the piece handkerchief style, with one of the corners hanging down in the center, it will be 33'' long (23" as shown in the last photo plus 10" fringe).
I think the yarn is mostly synthetic. The black fiber that joins the individual pieces has some silver sparkle to it due to metallic thread
