• 1960's Gilt Silver Filigree Amethyst Gemstone Ring

Beautiful Hand Filigree Cabochon Amethyst Gemstone ring made in the 60's. The design on store the filigree is an intricate double twisted rope pattern crown design resting on delicate chain link filigree design with a floral medallion shoulder. The special feature of this ring is the pillbox or compartment under the bezel. Verdi wrote the opera II Trovatore with a "poison pillbox ring" for Lady Lenora. This is a natural Amethyst with a beautiful translucent even colouring.

This is an adjustable piece stamped with a silver mark on the underside of the band. Amethyst is thought to connect one's emotional, physical and healing properties.
