Upcycled T shirt Rug | Woven store Potholder-Style Mat | Abstract Blue & Green Bathmat | Handmade in US | Recycled Knit Clothing

I had many, many chopped-up store shirts and other jersey-knit items left from previous projects, and I couldn't bring myself to get rid of them...so I found a way to use them up! The shirts are mostly 100% cotton, or cotton-poly blend. Some are au natural and some have been dyed...all were destined for the trash.

This design is a mix of blues and greens, and the end result reminds me of "Starry Night" by van Gogh. Do you see it? The texture of the rug is just delightful...soft and squishy with a little support. There are knots throughout, but you can't feel them when standing. As it is washable, it would make a charming pet bed, bath mat or accent rug. The size is about 25 x33" (about 1" thick). Be aware that it might be difficult to close a door over the top since it is so thick.

Rug will ship folded in recycled packaging.
