Vintage rare UK Chester hallmark solid 9ct gold signet style ring. Dated at store 1960 weighs 2.7g. Blank so can be engraved. UK size U
store The Chester assay office closed in 1962, so items with their three wheatsheaves and sword hallmarks are now very collectable. (I have included a link below with more information incase you are interested.)
This letter in date stamp indicates it was assayed in 1960. The surround on a standard 1960 date stamp is usually slightly different, but this is definitely a 1960 'K'. Different stamps were occasionally used on smaller pieces, so this stamp is even rarer.
I have lightly repolished the surface, but there are a few muted suface scratches still visible, as you might expect from a piece that is 62 years old. The front face has not been monogrammed, so is free for you to have your own initials engraved, if you wish.
The ring weighs 2.7g and is UK size U
