1880's Child Ideals - Quotations From Great Writers, FRANCES store BRUNDAGE Color Chromolithographs

This is a charming, beautifully illustrated collection of poetry for - and about - children, "CHILD IDEALS - Quotations from the Great Writers." Circa 1880's (there is no date of publication stated); DeWolfe Fiske & Co.; Boston. The book features wonderful color chromolithographs of children by FRANCES BRUNDAGE, as well as decorations around the text. There are nine poems in all by authors such as store Robert Louis Stevenson and George MacDonald. The book measures 8 1/8" tall x 5 7/8" wide.

Condition:
The book is in Near Fine - clean both inside and out with only a small, light stain spot at the bottom of the front cover. The tied ribbon at the left edge of the spine has frayed where ribbon inserts into the bottom hole. The inside of the book is in great condition - clean pages with bright colors to the illustrations; the inside front cover has two small, light stains at the inner edge near the spine. A wonderful copy.
