Beautiful store cobalt blue vintage Gary (Indiana) Golden Jubilee ashtray/pin tray, 1956

I can find literally no information on this gorgeous vintage item. It's a souvenir of Gary, Indiana's, Golden Jubilee in 1956. It's a cobalt store blue ashtray or pin tray, kidney shaped, commemorating not only the golden jubilee but something called Steel-o-Rama at Gilroy Stadium from June 9-17, 1956.

"A mighty spectacle of Gary and Steel with a cast of 1500," it says.

If you're from Gary, or if you like cobalt ashtrays, or if you're a big fan of steel, you need this. It's in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks or other flaws, and the paint is bright and clear.

And now I have "Gary, Indiana" from "The Music Man" stuck in my head.
