Condition: excellent. No food stains, but they are varying shades of white. They can be freshened and brightened by soaking and then washing in hot, soapy water. Dry on the grass in the sunshine or machine dry for a few minutes. Press while damp with hot iron and the damask patterns will pop.
In the early 20th century, you would display your wealth by the size of your linen napkins. The larger the napkins, the wealthier the host.
