Lovely antique Rosenthal hand painted chinoiserie japonesque trinket or jewelry box for the dresser or vanity.
Decorated with multicolored painting of lovely peacock standing on a branch in japonaiserie style.
Box is made of white porcelain and trimmed with gilt around lid and adorned with four branches on the sides of the jar.
Design and painting is attributed store to Rosenthal, Selb Bavaria from Golden Age of Art deco.
Box is marked on the bottom with green stamp with dot, production of mid 1920s, most likely 1926.
Box is oval shaped. Size - approx. width 13 cm [5"], depth 11,5 cm [4,5"], and height 6 cm [2,5"].
Weight of whole item is 280 g [10 oz].
In excellent vintage condition - no chips, cracks, or restorations.

Condition:
All of my antique items are in mint or excellent condition, unless otherwise indicated in the item description. However, as these are handmade or over a hundred years old objects, they may have slight signs of wear or smaller imperfections, but I always try to notify potential buyers about these faults in the descriptions. Please look at the pictures closely, request more photos or additional information about origin and provenance, materials, manufacture marks, etc.
Packing & Shipping:
All my antique and fragile items are packed with extreme care and thought. I always use the large bubble wrap and may even fashion a cardboard protector around the items. Everything is packed with either air bubble packets and/or packing foil, in order to ensure that any items you order do not actually touch the sides of the box.
I pack items so there is zero movement - which is why nothing has ever been broken to date. Some items will be wrapped with bubble wrap and shipped in a small box within a box, depending on the safest solution for each item.
