Mount Grinnell by Michael Chesnakov is a fantastic rendition of the iconic view of Glacier National Park from Many Glacier Lodge on Swiftcurrent Lake. Michael was one of over 60 artists who made up the collective of the original Penstock Gallery when we opened up in downtown Spokane in 1993. He painted this for me as a commission from one of my own photographs. I can't find that photo anywhere, but I am looking!

I have attached a photo to this listing, strictly for reference, just to show what a great place Glacier National Park is, to emphasize the striking view, so you can see how Michael brought his own creativity to the scene. Michael Chesnakov is originally form Estonia and lived in eastern Washington. He studied fine art and oil painting at an Art University in Moscow, Russia. In our gallery, he had many landscapes and replicas of classic paintings by old masters. It was an honor to have his work on our walls.
