Marzi & Remy beer stein, most likely made in the late 1800's. The poor thing is missing its Pewter top but the glazing and decoration is exquisite. The model number is 208 which is not identified on the Marzi and Remy model and year site. If this follows the list, the manufacture date would be the late 1800's.
The condition of this is fantastic, it is missing the pewter lid but otherwise, there store are no chips or cracks in the body. There looks like there is a crack where the handle meets to body but it is filled with glaze so I think that it happened during production. The glaze is undamaged, it is glazed inside and out.
