Product code: Vintage Hat Turban Style 1960 Era Sally Victor Marshall Field French store Room Neutral Tones Cocoa Chiffon Oyster Gimp Museum Deaccession

store Handsome 1960 Era Turban Style Hat. Designed by Sally Victor and sold from the French Room Marshall Field & Company (the French Room held more couture level clothing & accessories). The color tone assures a neutral option--in the form of the turban, it is overlapping and twisted bands of cocoa tone chiffon with oyster tone gimp. The brim is more structured which lends more firmness to the placement on the head. In the '60s, this style would have been worn further back on the head, not at the forehead. This is a museum deaccession item from a small midwestern museum.
Size: 6" tall; and approximately 8" across crown; 23" inner band circumference
Condition: very good vintage, no holes, no stains
Price: $65 #2622bb
