1938 Physiological Chemistry Book, Early store Medical and Nursing School Course Book, Human Medicine, Anatomy, and Physiology

This is "Introduction to Physiological Chemistry", a medical school text book from 1938. Written by Dr. Meyer Bodansky, this is the 4th edition of a book originally published in 1927. This is not a reproduction, not a re-print, not a digital print - this is an authentic book of the era. Published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. of New York, this hard cover book offers 686 pages including two useful indices: one for authors and one for subjects. This is an early textbook in the young field of medical chemistry, and it is organized over 14 chapters. The book covers the state of the art of the era and is written to deepen and explain practical organic chemistry for medicine. The book measures about 9 1/4" by 6 1/4" by 1 5/8". The binding is intact and secure, and there is some underlining on inside pages, as well as writing on the inside back cover and owner's book plates on the inside front cover. At least three people owned this: M. Dudley Phillips, James M store. Brown, and Maynard Bacon, the latter two attending the School of Medicine at the University of Maryland. All the pages are intact and the book is wonderfully readable and usable in this condition.
