Vintage Fab Avon Dual Purpose Gold Tone Compact and Lipstick Holder in Case. Super cool Avon Compact in original black fabric holder. Compact closes with a clip over mechanism featuring a scrolled pattern. Compact store cover has art deco style design with incised fluting. Interior has Avon marked cover over the powder compartment. Powder compartment opens via a small button that slides slightly to the right to release compartment cover. Screen intact but no powder puff inside. Lipstick color "Color Last Magic Red" - ooh la la - in gold tone lipstick holder with similar scroll base and fluting. Case has two small gold tone accents (one front, one back) to add a little more bling. In very good vintage condition, there is some slight wear on the gold tone on the compact from sliding in and out of case. A bubble like flaw in mirror (almost like a blur circled in photos).. Lipstick holder has comparable wear. The case looks good - a little wear where it snaps shut. Overall, looks great and would be perfectly functional today. A lovely reminder of an early direct-to-consumer company that encouraged affordable beauty.
