Beautiful copy of "L'Aiglon" by Edmond Rostand from 1900. The hardcover book is 262 pages with the original blue cloth binding highly decorated in gilt with Napoleonic symbols. L'Aiglon is a play in six acts by Edmond Rostand translated by Louise store Parker. Based on the life Napoleon II, who was the son of emperor Napoleon I and his second wife, Empress Marie Louise. The title of the play comes from a nickname for Napoleon II, L'Aiglon is the French word for 'eaglet' (a young eagle).
The original sticker from Frederick Loeser & Co., a famous department store in NY is on the inside cover. Found to be in overall very nice condition. Great colors, perfect bookshelf decor and good read!
