19thC Tin Tole-painted Miniature Toy Pails
I thought I would sell these pails as a pair as they have been displayed together and, although one has lost much of its paint, they complement one another very well.
The smaller of the two measures 1 1/4 inches tall by 1 1/2 inches in diameter. It still retains about 80 % of its original red
paint as well as its wire bale handle.
The larger one measures 2 1/4 inches tall by 2 1/2 inches in diameter. It retains about 40% of its deep blue paint and there are remnants of gold stenciling on the front. It retains its original bale handle as well.
I have displayed them together for patriotic holidays and also hung them on my red, white and blue themed feather tree at Christmas.
They are wonderful miniature tin children's toys from the mid 19thC. store
