Lovely pair of owl bookends
Made by Athena Marble (original care stickers on base)
Creamy off-white color, works with any decor

Each owl is perched on a book
These are very heavy…each owl weighs over 5 pounds!

I am not familiar with Athena Marble and couldn't find anything online, so they may be older than I suspected
They are solid and very heavy, but they do have a seam and some pitting (see pics..one ear has the largest pit, but only noticeable from above)
They are different from the highly polished veined marble we have come accustomed to.
They appear to be handmade because they are not identical mirror images of each other…very slight differences

Each bookend measures approximately 8.5” tall and roughly 5” x 4”

I do my best to estimate shipping costs and keep them as low as possible while still ensuring your items make it to you safely. If there is a significant overage, I will let you know and provide a refund for the overage.

I will gladly combine shipping to save you money, when more than one item is purchased, it is usually only a few dollars more than one item alone. So, take a look at other listings and let me know if you are interested in more than one item. I can provide an estimate on how much shipping would be.

For larger or heavier items, I can also give you a quote for UPS ground shipping, which is usually cheaper.

Buying second hand is better for the environment and I try to extend that into the shipping process as well so, when possible, I re-use shipping supplies.

All of my listings are pre-loved, either vintage store or antique, which means they have varying degrees of wear, tear and patina. All are lightly cleaned before being photographed, but any deeper cleaning is left to the buyer so I don't risk damaging the item. I do my best to accurately identify items and describe any flaws that I see but please carefully look at all of the photos for anything I might have missed. Don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have regarding the item.
